A Letter From The President

As the Coronavirus continues to evolve as a public health issue, please be assured that your health and safety are of the utmost importance to us. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR WELL-BEING.

As you probably know, Governor Gretchen Whitmer has given the ok to reopen for business. Although we have been open while seeing clients virtually, I am writing to you to update you on all the steps that our company has taken to provide you with a safe environment on your next visit to our office. We care deeply for our staff members and our clients, which is why we have elected to slowly open our doors starting June 8, 2020, by appointment only.

HOWEVER, FOR THE SAFETY OF YOURSELF, OTHERS IN THE BUILDING AND OUR TEAM MEMBERS, WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE CHOOSE TO INSTEAD SCHEDULE A VIRTUAL MEETING WITH YOUR ADVISOR OR REPRESENTATIVE, WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

As we begin to reopen our office, we will not only be following CDC recommendations but, instead, elect to exceed those protocols in many cases. We are currently employing the following safety measures:

  • Taking everyone’s temperature prior to entering the office.

  • Adding a plexiglass barrier to the reception window.

  • Placing hand sanitizing stations throughout the office

  • Ensuring all employees will continue to follow CDC recommendations and wash their hands with soap and water throughout the day.

  • Disinfecting all offices and rooms periodically throughout the day.

  • Equipping all team members with protective gear such as masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes to ensure minimum contact with germs and viruses.

  • Recommending all financial client meetings be held virtually and avoid in-person contact whenever possible.

  • Relocating any meetings held at the Warren location (that cannot be held virtually) to the 1st floor in Suite 101, located by the east side building entrance. We have taken extra precautions to protect our employees and our clients and will only be using one designated meeting room that will be disinfected after each meeting. No clients will be allowed up to the 8th floor until further notice.

  • For our Shelby location, the lobby will be closed. If you have an appointment, we ask that you call (586) 997- 3600 from the parking lot and wait in your vehicle until you are notified that a private office is available.

Our mission to offer world-class service has always been and will always be reflected in how we carry ourselves, especially during these unprecedented times. We will continue to monitor these measures and adjust them according to the Governor’s order.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

All the best,

Richard David James. CEO and President

Financial Services of America
